A primary school textbook publisher said it had no idea that a pentagram symbol covered in blood signified evil.

Marlinsons apologized last night for a bloody pentagram used to represent 鈥渟hapes鈥 in a Primary 2 textbook meant for 8-year-olds and will recall all stock and reprint a less diabolical version.

鈥淲e are not aware that this is a satanist symbol and have used it in our books carelessly.聽We totally agree that our choice of picture is highly inappropriate and are appalled by this grave mistake.鈥 The publisher told 黑料社 last night.

It will also dispose of all existing stock.

This came after a very confused Redditor yesterday called out the section of the book that weirdly settled for a pentagram of all shapes. It was next to words such as a 鈥渢riangle鈥 and 鈥渟cotch tape鈥 that used more accurate and harmless visuals.

鈥淲e pledge to exercise greater care and improve our quality inspection system to prevent such mistakes from being made in the future,鈥 it wrote.
