COVID-19 claimed its fourth life in Singapore this morning, the 补苍苍辞耻苍肠别诲.听
The 68-year-old Indonesian man died at 6:43am today, more than a week after he was admitted to the National Center for Infectious Diseases, or NCID, and testing positive. He was in the Intensive Care Unit from March 26.聽
The man had a history of diabetes and hypertension and was in Indonesia Jan. 20 to March 16, according to the ministry鈥檚 statement. He also holds a work visa here.聽
鈥淗e developed serious complications and eventually succumbed to the infection after seven days in the ICU,鈥 it read.聽
鈥淣CID has reached out to his family and is extending assistance to them.鈥
Confirmed coronavirus cases rose to 1,000 in Singapore after 74 new cases were reported last night. Ten of which are linked to an elderly home at 1 Thomson Lane, including one that involves a 102-year-old woman – Singapore鈥檚 oldest COVID-19 patient so far.聽
