Considering it鈥檚 highly unlikely that Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will be asked hard questions by the Members of Parliament (MPs) under the party that he himself heads, the opposition party in Parliament has readied their own queries regarding the ongoing Lee family feud.

But The Workers鈥 Party isn’t at all concerned about the now-public dispute between the Lee siblings over the various聽issues pertaining to their father鈥檚 will (the demolition of 38 Oxley Road, the share of the estate, yada yada). What the seven opposition party MPs are perturbed with instead is Dr Lee Wei Ling鈥檚 and Lee Hsien Yang鈥檚 claim about their brother using the organs of the state to carry out his personal agenda. A legitimate concern, especially since PM Lee’s own brother wants to get out of the country and, in his words, wake up from an ““.

Oh, and they even gave the prime minister a chance to prepare his answers. The Worker鈥檚 Party listed down the questions they鈥檒l be asking come July 3, when the matter will be openly discussed in Parliament. Queries will cover everything from聽the rules that ensure no conflict of interest to the mechanisms in place to prevent abuse of power 鈥 all of which will have to be satisfactorily answered by the prime minister in real time. No well-crafted press releases or lawyer-vetted statements聽this time.
