Some bad apples have been ruining the whole bike-sharing experience for everyone else by chaining the bikes up so others can鈥檛 freely use them (that鈥檚 not how it works, guys) 鈥 but this one takes the cake.
The sheer audacity of it all is so blatantly selfish that we can鈥檛 help but slow clap for this prick. This one individual likes bike-sharing so much, that he/she took one home, removed its lock and splashed a new coat of paint on it.

A bicycle by bike-sharing platform ofo was spotted chained up to a rack in Toa Payoh by a 聽contributor, with the 鈥榦wner鈥 taking the effort to paint the whole thing white. Its lock 鈥 installed to prevent non-paying customers to freely ride it 鈥 was conveniently gone, too. And the person *could* have gotten away with it if he/she had bothered to change its seat to something that didn鈥檛 sport the ofo logo.
According to the STOMP contributor, photos of the stolen bike have been sent to ofo, but the company hasn鈥檛聽issued a response.
Tech-driven bike-sharing systems may be one of the best concepts to arrive in Singapore in a while, but the fact that these聽start-ups are beginning聽to realize our cheapness and tendency to hoard free things isn’t聽helping matters.
