A 19-year-old commuter reported a man to the police who she said was taking photos of her cleavage on the train.聽
Identifying herself only as Catharine, she said that she confronted the man seated across from her after noticing he was attempting to discreetly focus on her chest with his phone camera, which she said contained her images as well as 鈥渞acy pictures鈥 of others compiled in a photo album.
鈥淸A]s the train was reaching [N]ewton station I looked up and saw his phone at a really weird angle. I didn鈥檛 want to assume at first so I looked at the reflection in the window (the train was underground so I could see his phone SUPER CLEARLY). I then took out my phone to video him and then confronted him myself right after,鈥 she told 黑料社 today.
She said she was traveling along the North-South train Monday night when the encounter occurred.
Catharine then decided to stop the moving train by pressing on the emergency button while her friend called the police, she said.聽
The police confirmed with 黑料社 today that they were looking into the matter without elaborating further. Catharine said that the matter was being investigated 鈥渦nder intentional harassment and not sexual harassment because of the lack of evidence.鈥
She had boarded the train at Ang Mo Kio station but only took notice of the man four stops later. Through the window reflection, Catharine said that she could see that the man was 鈥渮ooming鈥 and photographing her chest.聽
鈥淸H]e then agreed and went into his gallery, he then went into his album and [I] saw pictures/videos of me in his phone before he tilted his phone away and changed to another album. [H]e then showed me an album full of racy pictures of pornstars/women,鈥 she wrote on Twitter yesterday.聽
A video she shared showed the creepy commuter in a blue polo shirt and black pants, carrying a black backpack. Another photo showed the man talking to train staff.
