Well, this certainly reinforces Yishun鈥檚 reputation as a . One young man was said to have caused some serious distress to community cat feeders after he admitted to killing a missing cat.
But when the cops were called in to question the boy, he denied everything, laughing that he was simply joking around.
An extremely cruel jest.
Cat welfare Facebook group Yishun 326 Tabby Cat posted today about a community cat called Sayang that failed to turn up for a feeding session at for three nights in a row. Known to hang around Block 269 along Yishun Street 22, Sayang鈥檚 feeder went looking for the cat and approached a young man who鈥檇 been watering his plants on the second floor.
鈥淗e then said that he had killed Sayang,鈥 the post noted. 鈥淭he feeder brought 2 other witnesses to verify this and he again admitted he killed her鈥.
The kid 鈥 pictured without a top on while sporting a smug grin on his face 鈥 was said to have laughed throughout most of the police interrogation.

It鈥檚 unclear if he had anything to do with the cat鈥檚 disappearance, but what an absolutely brutal way to toy with聽devoted neighborhood feeders. One lady pictured looked devastated by the whole stunt, with fellow cat feeders consoling her.

鈥淪ayang鈥檚 body has yet to be found and honestly we don鈥檛 know what to make of the situation. Did this man kill Sayang? Did he do this for his own entertainment or to make sport of the feeders? We have no clue.聽鈥
The group has brought the matter up to the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority of Singapore (AVA), and are looking for any information relevant to the case.
