Sure, Yishun’s got a bad rep. The “Murderer and Siao Lang” town聽has made headlines for one too many bizarre/gruesome/crazy crimes聽鈥 someone even turned it into a horror flick聽鈥 but at its heart, it’s just another neighborhood filled with (mostly) good people who聽simply want to live their lives without their address being the butt of jokes.

Enter People’s Studio, a creative residency programme that highlights works by emerging artists at an unconventional void deck pop-up in Yishun. Revolving around the theme of “Future Living”, the exhibitions will spread across the month of March at Blk 844, Yishun Street 81, as part of this year’s .

Brought to you by new art and design firm 聽鈥 where one of the co-founders is a longtime Yishun resident聽鈥 the installations will showcase the works of writers, musicians, fashion label owners, and more.
