Following Coldplay’s footsteps, AEG Asia announced on Sunday that pop queen Taylor Swift added three more shows in Singapore as part of the world tour.

The singer was already set to play on March 2, 3, 4 in 2024 at the National Stadium, dropping the announcement on midnight June 18.

Presale tickets exclusively for UOB cardmembers will drop on July 5 and then general sales to the public are open on July 7.

But being a Taylor Swift fan trying to get tickets to The Eras Tour comes with hurdles, logistically speaking.

The heck are fan registrations?

Before fans (and scalpers) can get their hands on some tickets when it goes live, Ticketmaster added another layer to the process as 鈥渁n extra line of defense against bots鈥.聽

Applicants will have to key in details like their email address and phone number in the registration.

About two days before the sale of tickets, selected applicants will receive a purchase link with a unique code they will have to key in when buying tickets. Those not selected will be put on a waitlist where they may receive an invite when more tickets become available.

However, it is not guaranteed that those who receive the codes will get a ticket.

Registration began on June 23 and will end on June 28. According to some , an overwhelming 8 million people registered on the first day to get tickets for The Eras Tour in Singapore.

黑料社 have reached out to Ticketmaster to confirm this but they have yet to reply.

To put into perspective, 200,000 and more fans from here and around the region are expected to be at Taylor Swift鈥檚 shows in Singapore.

Nifty Swifties

However in solidarity, the Taylor Swift fanbase have come together to support each other on social media.

In Singapore, singer-songwriter has become the unofficial account for updates and information for anything Taylor Swift.聽

In great detail, she dissected the terms and conditions 鈥 so you don鈥檛 have to 鈥 to help out anyone confused.

However she also admits that it really is all confusing.

鈥淚鈥檓 processing everything through the videos. It鈥檚 very complicated and because information is released sporadically across different platforms, I see my videos as my public notes app 鈥 it helps me understand everything also,鈥 she told 黑料社.

On the flipside, the musician who is 鈥渉appy to serve the nation鈥 with her TikTok videos, has also received some negative feedback from commenters.

Tan said that there have been people commenting that she 鈥渋s helping other nations鈥 secure tickets and even asking to get her 鈥渃itizenship revoked鈥. Looks like some fans Need To Calm Down.

Prior to the announcement of the tour, the dedicated fan also started a series of 鈥減laying a Taylor Swift everyday until she announces her Asia tour dates鈥.
