Singapore hip hop star Yung Raja got roasted on The Tonight Show recently, and that didn鈥檛 even matter to him because how often do you get to be on a show like that?

The 26-year-old rapper seemed thrilled about his March single Mami being given a shoutout by host and comedian Jimmy Fallon recently, even though Fallon didn鈥檛 seem to like his song at all.聽

鈥淭his is insane. This is a win for all Southeast Asian and bilingual artistes. I’m so grateful in this moment to my family and my team. Praise God,鈥 the rapper told 黑料社 today. He is signed to American label Alamo Records.聽

He was mentioned on the show鈥檚 鈥淒o Not Play鈥 segment, where Fallon jokes about the single鈥檚 album art and how the rapper may have paid money to 鈥渟leep鈥 in a hotel bathtub instead of posing in other parts of the room. The art showed Yung Raja wearing a white robe in a fancy bathroom.

鈥淒o 🙅‍♂️ Not 🙅‍♂️ Play 🙅‍♂️ 鈥淢ami鈥 🙅‍♂️,鈥 a tweet by the Tonight Show鈥檚 account said.聽

Fallon was mostly unimpressed with the song鈥檚 main hook, which consisted of the word 鈥淢ami鈥 on repeat for nearly 30 seconds. It went on and on until Fallon asked to stop the track.聽

鈥淣ow that’s how you write a song right there, that鈥檚 it,鈥 the host said sarcastically.

Yung Raja then reacted to Fallon on social media earlier today, seemingly glad that he made it to the show at all.聽

鈥淸I] think @jimmyfallon isn鈥檛 a big fan of mami BUT HELLO WE MADE IT TO THE TONIGHT SHOW,鈥 the rapper wrote.聽
