Singaporeans can cash in on S$100 (US$75) vouchers to book various tourist attractions in the city starting next month, the Singapore Tourism Board announced today.
Dubbed 鈥淪ingapoRediscovers鈥 vouchers, they are meant to boost the country鈥檚 withered tourism industry by encouraging Singaporeans to use them to book staycations, attractions or tours from Dec. 1 to June 30. The vouchers can only be redeemed through partnering booking platforms or their 肠颈迟测飞颈诲别.听
鈥淲e have designed the redemption process to be safe, easy and inclusive for all Singaporeans, and we hope that they will take this opportunity to support tourism businesses, while rediscovering what they love about Singapore.鈥 the board鈥檚 chief executive Keith Tan said in a today. More deals will be rolled out before the scheme ends, he added, saying that there is no need to 鈥渞ush鈥 to use the vouchers.聽

The five partnering booking platforms are , , , and . The will be located at shopping malls, post offices, and community centers. Singaporeans 18 and up are required to use their SingPass account details to redeem their vouchers. Adults can pay for up to six individuals who are under 18 and eligible for S$10 subsidies.聽
The vouchers are non-transferable and for personal use only. A letter will be sent to all eligible residents by Dec. 1 with information about the redemption process.
Finance Minister Heng Swee Keat previously said that the government had set aside S$320 million for the program.聽
