A bakery which relocated from San Francisco to Singapore last year is bringing new flavors for 2022.聽

In its menu overhaul, Mr Holmes Bakehouse is adding new savory flavors for its 鈥渃ruffins,鈥 a croissant and muffin hybrid, as well as crispier, twice-baked croissants and brioche donuts.

The bakery opened in July at the Pacific Plaza and is the only existing outlet for the brand that closed shop in San Francisco due to the pandemic.

It says each cruffin is made by one of its pastry chefs from San Francisco, who hand rolls each and every one with a unique blend of flour and premium French butter. Their cruffins also stand tall and light as they do not rely on any muffin trays.

The fully revamped menu includes its first-ever dip into savoriness with the Sundried Tomato & Bacon Jam Cruffin (S$7.50) made with gruyere, balsamic glaze, tomato, chive cream cheese, and bacon jam. If you鈥檇 prefer sticking to the sweets, there are other flavors such as German Chocolate (S$6.50), which is folded with shredded coconut and pecan pieces, and the Irish Cream (S$6.50) made with orange zest and cacao nibs.

There is also the PBJ by PBD Cruffin (S$9.50), a peanut butter and jelly cruffin made with a tart strawberry rhubarb jam and nutty almond butter twist, in collaboration with Park Bench Deli for the weekends.

Moving on to the flavor bombs that are the donuts, the brioche donuts are piped with Speculoos, a light caramel-spiced cream with bits of Biscoff biscuits, and the Milk Chocolate Earl Grey is filled with a earl grey tea infused pastry cream. Savory flavors include the Mango Chilli Lime made with tangy mango lime curd with chili powder only available on the weekends, and the Everything Donut, which is piped with chive and caper cream cheese, glazed with spicy Sriracha honey and a special house-made seasoning. All donuts are S$5.80 each.

For that extra crunch, the bakery is welcoming the Pistachio Mixed Berry Croissant (S$6.50), a twice-baked croissant brushed with rum syrup then filled with nutty pistachio frangipane and tangy mixed berry jam.

Other bakes include the Bacon Mac & Cheese Danish (S$7) made with red cheddar bechamel topped with bacon Mac & Cheese, the Spinach Artichoke Slice (S$6.50) made from croissant dough marbled with spinach, artichoke hearts and gruyere, Gluten-Free Lemon Blueberry Muffin (S$5), Banana Muffin (S$4.50), and Vegan Chocolate Fudge Cookie (S$4).

Don鈥檛 forget the sandwiches as well. Their Tuna Sandwich (S$13) in toasted homemade rye sourdough is spread with a classic tuna salad made with chopped kale, pickles, onions, mayonnaise, lime, and mustard.

If you can鈥檛 decide on a flavor, go all out on the boxes of six that include three cruffins and three donuts for S$39.90. Pre-orders and deliveries are .
