Tiger Beer has launched an orchid-infused beer just in time for National Day. 

Named Tiger Orchid Brew, the limited-edition lager is infused with orchids, which the brewer says gives off a subtle floral and citrus flavor. It comes in specially designed packaging with illustrations of Singapore’s skyline and the city-state’s national flower, the Vanda Miss Joaquim orchid. 

The drink is now available for purchase at S$11.70 for a pack of four cans at major supermarkets, convenience stores and online until Aug. 31. The brew was first introduced in April 2019 at the opening of a Tiger bar at Jewel Changi Airport. 

Tiger Beer, Singapore’s first homegrown beer brand, said that the orchid flavored beer was meant to symbolize the spirit of unity and growth. 

“The perseverance shown by Singaporeans has been remarkable and as a beer born in Singapore, we feel more strongly than ever about coming together with optimism and vigour to ‘bloom as one’,” Asia Pacific Breweries spokesperson Faye Wee said in a statement. 

Tiger collaborated with local artist and botany enthusiast Tiffany Lovage to illustrate the visually striking packaging.

“When working on the design for the Tiger Orchid Brew, I wanted to intertwine the orchid infusion of the beer with Singapore’s national flower and the lushness of our city. I hope that this brew will encourage us to remember that together, everyone achieves more,” Lovage said.
