Once again, Nur Sajat Kamaruzzaman appears to have angered fellow Malaysians, this time by posting bikini photos on her personal social media account.
鈥淚鈥檓 not prostituting myself on social media, but merely sharing about what I like to wear and appreciating my natural beauty,鈥 the cosmetics entrepreneur told the yesterday.
The 35-year-old said this in response to haters who called for a boycott after she uploaded four photos and a TikTok video of herself in olive green bikini on Instagram two days ago.聽
According to the , Sajat was promoting the results of one of her products, a girdle, as she prepared to go on a beach holiday with her bikini body.
Although Sajat constantly posts updates of herself on social media, it seems like this is her first time posting photos of herself in a bikini. Other posts show that she鈥檚 usually fully-clothed.
鈥淚 don鈥檛 understand why my bikini photos would cause anyone to boycott me like I committed a crime,鈥 she said.
鈥淚鈥檓 upset that I have become a target for cyberbullies even though there are sexier women on social media,鈥 Sajat later added. She has since turned off the comments on her posts but did not delete her photos from social media.
Online, the boycott campaign appears to have been started by a religious preacher known as Amin, whose real name is Mohamad Amirul Amin.
The 30-year-old preacher posted a screenshot of Sajat鈥檚 bikini photos yesterday on Instagram, with capitalized text saying 鈥淧ORN BOYCOTT鈥 over the image.聽
Amin is a well-known religious public figure on social media with more than 500,000 followers and makes regular appearances at the Abu Bakar Mosque in Cameron Highlands.
鈥淚t鈥檚 strange that so many people still follow her and buy her products when she鈥檚 actually ruining the future generation with these pornographic images. Let鈥檚 boycott her!鈥 Amin wrote in his caption. His post has been liked by nearly 34,000 people.
Despite standing by her posts, the controversial Malaysian beauty apologized if she has offended any parties.
鈥淚鈥檓 sorry if I have offended anyone. I had no intention of doing that,鈥 she said.
