The folks behind some of Bangkok鈥檚 hottest new watering holes will bring jazz and cocktails to swanky Langsuan Road later this year.
Hot on the heels of their latest, Liberation, being named the capital鈥檚 best new bar, Tango Tonight dished Thursday to 黑料社 Bangkok on their yet-to-be-named jazz joint coming to the parkside end of the road running down from Chitlom.
鈥淚 always want to go to a jazz bar but most in Bangkok are boring. This one is going to be fun,鈥 said Pattarit 鈥淏ink鈥 Jittawait, founder of the Tango Tonight group, which also owns Rabbit Hole and the Michelin-starred Canvas.

Expect stadium-style-yet-cozy seating around a well-appointed stage and dance floor with live music that鈥檚 more upbeat 鈥淪wing Kids鈥 than needle-in-arm Miles Davis. Bink said they鈥檙e going for a 鈥渃elebratory, post-war vibe.鈥
High ceilings will create a grand space when it opens in the Langsuan Village megaproject on land owned by the crown. It will mark jazz music鈥檚 return to the neighborhood a decade after Brown Sugar packed up and moved out of nearby Sarasin intersection.
The booze? Bink said it will focus more on classic formulations rather than the experimental, thematic pours of Liberation.
Langsuan Village is a massive commercial and residential development consuming much of lower Langsuan Road. A community mall is expected to open in July, and Tango Tonight expects their club to open its doors in October.
