Two nurses at Sanglah General Hospital are currently being treated in isolation at the facility after reportedly caring for suspected COVID-19 patients.聽
鈥淭here are two [nurses] who contracted fever and are coughing, yes. Because they are feverish and coughing, we have placed them to be treated there [in isolation]. They have a history of caring [for patients] there,鈥 said Sanglah president director I Wayan Sudana yesterday, as quoted by 碍辞尘辫补蝉.听
Sudana added that the two nurses are in good condition and suspects that they have fallen ill due to exhaustion.聽

Sanglah is one of three hospitals on the island designated to handle COVID-19 cases, and is treating 12 suspected COVID-19 patients as of yesterday afternoon. According to Sudana, six of them tested negative for the novel coronavirus, while the remaining six are still awaiting their respective lab results.
On Wednesday, a 53-year-old British woman treated at Sanglah passed away while under observation for COVID-19. Hers is the first death to the novel coronavirus in Indonesia. Local officials later said they only found out she tested positive for COVID-19 after she died, though she has been confirmed as Case 25 in the country by the central government hours before her death.聽
